A few hours ago DreamHack in conjunction with PGL and Valve announced a new major-tournament which will be held in the Romanian city of Cluj-Napoca, from 29 October to 1 November this year. The first game day will be held in a closed studio, and the remaining four days of the tournament will move to the Polyvalent Hall, which opened last year and has a capacity of more than 7 thousand people.
The prize fund of this time, we're not surprised - the same 250 thousand dollars, and the last major-tournament. For that kind of money in an impressive fight will take 16 teams. Exactly half of them are already known - the main criterion for selection was the performance in the past not so long ago ESL Cologne. The remaining eight teams are determined through DreamHack Open Stockholm, which was renamed the qualifying stage. It will be held from 22 to 26 September: the first four days in the Monster Energy DreamHack Studios, the last - in Annexet Stockholm Globe Arenas.
It should be noted that because of the tournament announced problems can arise at ESWC 2015, which will be held under the Paris Games Week in the same numbers as the stage of the Romanian DreamHack - from 28 October to 1 November this year. The prize for this tournament much more modest - only 80 thousand dollars.
