North invited to IEM Sydney

North became the last team to receive invitations to IEM Sydney, SK, Renegades Astarlis, Optic and FaZe were previously invited. The tournament has a prize fund of ~ $ 200,000 and will be held on May 3-7, and the last two days will be held in the magnificent Qudos Bank Arena, in Sydney, Australia.

Following the fourth place on DreamHack Masters and 5-6th place at IEM Katowice, North became the second Danish team at the upcoming tournament. They will join their compatriots, Astralis and four more invited teams in Sydney.

To supplement the tournament with eight teams, the last two places will be determined through the qualifications of Oceania and China. Australian qualifications have already been launched, and details about the Chinese qualifying tournament have not yet been disclosed by the organizers.

Less than two weeks ago, the organizers announced a change in the rules for the future of the IEM, which relate to VAC, namely, that a player who has VAC for more than two years will be able to participate in the tournament.
