Chiefs secure IEM Sydney spot

The Chiefs, having destroyed the Tainted Minds team 2-0 in the final of the closed qualifications in Oceania, took their place at IEM Sydney. Both teams went on the top grid with clean victories with a score of 2-0, and in the last grid match the Chiefs were able to win. But Tainted Minds did not leave the tournament and could get into the grand final.

Due to the fact that they came in first place from the group the team needed to win just one BO3 match, which they convincingly did. The first card was Cobblestone - the peak of Tainted Minds, but the Chiefs played well for the special forces and did not let their opponents finish their comeback and finish the card with a score of 16-12.

The second card was Nuke and Chiefs looked great at their peak and left opponents and a chance to win, finishing the game with a score of 16-5. So the Chiefs took the last slot on IEM Sydney which will be held May 3-7, when eight teams will fight for $ 200,000.

The organizers have already announced the first four matches and the Chiefs team will fight against Astralis, and the team FaZe - winners of the SL i-League StarSeries S3 will have to meet with Renegades.
