Liquid qualify for ESL One Cologne

Liquid got a seat on the ESL One Cologne after defeating CLG 2-0 in the grand finals of closed North American qualifications (16-14 at Cobblestone and 16-8 at Inferno)

The qualification process in North America began with two open qualifications, the winners of which went into the closed qualifier. Six teams were represented at the closed stage, four of which were invited. CLG and Liquid started qualifying in the semifinals, while the remaining four teams had to play in the quarter-finals.

CLG and Liquid won the Renegades and Misfits in the semifinals, respectively, to get to the final. There, the two teams had a close first Cobblestone card, where Liquid was the winner with a score of 16-14.

Despite the fact that CLG won 8 rounds, Liquid held a huge domination on the attacking side and won the card with a score of 16-8 and a 2-0 meeting, due to which they were qualified for ESL One Cologne.
