StarSeries i-League S4 to feature Bo3 Swiss stage

Organization StarLadder announced that the fourth season of StarSeries will be held on the Swiss system with BO3 matches. As is known, within the Swiss System there are BO1-matches, thanks to which there are different outcomes. Therefore, the organizers went to meet the teams, sacrificing the period of the tournament, which for the group stage will last 5 days. It is also noted that this format will be used as an experiment. If it proves successful, then this format will continue to be used in other SL i-League tournaments.

In the playoffs of SL i-League StarSeries S4 there will be eight finalists of the group in the Swiss system who will compete for the first place in the Single Elimination grid. All matches of the last round will be in BO3 format.

Recall that the date of the SL i-League StarSeries S4 is February 17-25, and the place is the Kiev Cybersport Arena in the Ukrainian capital. The prize fund of the championship will be $ 300,000, for which 16 teams will compete, 11 have already received direct invitations from the organizers of the tournament, and the other 5 teams will be determined after regional qualifications in America, Europe and China.
