OPTIC - champions of the Northern Arena 2016 Montreal

Northern Arena 2016 Montreal kicked off the group stage in the GSL BO1 + BO3 format, with four teams in each group. Two of the strongest team in their group went to the semifinals of the playoffs, which determined the champion of the tournament.

North American players team came to the same group to EnVyUs, NRG and CLG, which despite the defeat against group favorite - EnVyUs, managed to rehabilitate himself in the match against desider-NRG and reached the playoffs with second place. By the finalists group of future champions joined a couple of best of group "A" - Heroic and G2.

In the semifinal match, the North American team fought Heroic, where seemingly equal match, OPTIC managed underclass enemy at the decisive card. Grand finale with the French team pushed from the G2, which in turn overpowered "countrymen" in the face EnVyUs. Champion's meeting was not easy to re-OPTIC, but still lost the first map, the North American team showed character and won with the score 1: 2 on the cards.
